MSH Membership

Those fulfilling membership criteria as outlined below are eligible to apply. All applications will be subjected to approval by the Society Council.

All applications must be made through this online application portal (linked here). Sign-up to apply. You are required to fill all the requested details including uploading images of supporting documents and referee reports. Please read this guide first before proceeding. The two referees must be among MSH life members, both of whom must be personally acquainted with the applicant. This portal allows you to complete your application in stages.

Once your application was determined to be in order, it will be forwarded for council approval by a majority vote.

The secretariat will notify a new member with a copy of the rules and regulations of the Society.

No person will be deemed to be an Ordinary, Life, Associate or Term Associate member until he/she has paid his/her entrance fee and the annual subscription payable on his/her admission.

Membership Types

There are four member categories: Life, Ordinary, Term Associate Members and Associate.

Ordinary Members

Criteria:

Medical graduates (non-specialist) who are undergoing training programmes in Haematology; i.e MPath (Hematology)
Medical practitioners who have an interest in Haematology
Scientific officers and Medical Laboratory Technologists who are trained in Haematology
Non-citizens of Malaysia who fulfils criteria for ordinary/associate member is eligible to appl

Term Members

Term Members is similar to Associate Members but prefers to pay upfront a subscription for a duration of ten years instead of annual subscription renewal.

Membership Fees

Life member	RM 300.00 + SST
Ordinary member	RM 100.00 + SST per annum
Term Associate Membership (Associate membership for 10 years)	RM 150.00 + SST (10 yrs)
Associate member	RM 50.00 + GST per annum

Fee Paying Process

After your application has been reviewed and approved by council, you will be informed by email AND ONLY THEN PROCEED TO PAYMENT.

Please note that all new application will incur an entrance fee of RM20.00. If you are joining as ordinary member the total payment due is RM100 + RM20 = RM120. For the subsequent year, the fee is RM100 per annum.

Pay online after you receive instruction to proceed with payment - you must use the same name, email and phone contact number, in the online payment form as your MSH Application.

If you prefer to pay by cheque, all cheques must be crossed A/C Payee Only and made payable to the " Malaysian Society of Haematology ". An additional RM 0.50 is to be included for outstation cheques.

Fees Renewal

Each Ordinary and Associate member shall be required to pay an annual subscription due on the first of each calendar year and payable within three months of the date.

Each Term Associate Member shall be required to renew the Term Associate membership due on the first of the eleventh (11^th) year and payable within three months of the date.

1	Apply to be a member	You will first be prompted to enter your email and a password of your choice. You need to verify your email before you can proceed with the sign-up process. Please check your Inbox for the verification link. If you can't find it, please check your spam or bulk mail folder.
2	Membership payments	Use the same name and email address as you used for the Membership application.

Physicians/Paediatricians/Pathologists practising in Malaysia who have a postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine, Paediatrics or Pathology.
Medical doctors with a postgraduate qualification in medical sciences.
PhD graduates with thesis in the field of Haematology.

Life Members

Citizens/Permanent Resident of Malaysia and practising in Malaysia fulfilling the criteria as stated for ordinary member is eligible to become life members after paying life membership subscription fees.
