MSH Membership
Those fulfilling membership criteria as outlined below are eligible to apply. All applications will be subjected to approval by the Society Council.
All applications must be made through this online application portal (linked here). Sign-up to apply. You are required to fill all the requested details including uploading images of supporting documents and referee reports. Please read this guide first before proceeding. The two referees must be among MSH life members, both of whom must be personally acquainted with the applicant. This portal allows you to complete your application in stages.
Once your application was determined to be in order, it will be forwarded for council approval by a majority vote.
The secretariat will notify a new member with a copy of the rules and regulations of the Society.
No person will be deemed to be an Ordinary, Life, Associate or Term Associate member until he/she has paid his/her entrance fee and the annual subscription payable on his/her admission.
Membership Types
The Malaysian Society of Haematology offers four categories of membership: Life, Ordinary, Term Associate and Associate Membership.
Ordinary Member
Criteria:
- Physicians/Paediatricians/Pathologists practising in Malaysia who have postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine, Paediatrics or Pathology
- Doctors with postgraduate qualification in the medical sciences.
- Science graduates with a MSC or PhD in haematological science.
Membership fees RM 100.00 per annum
Life Member
Citizens/Permanent Resident of Malaysia and practising in Malaysia fulfilling the criteria as stated for ordinary member is eligible to become life members after paying life membership subscription fees.
One-off membership fees RM300
Associate Member
Criteria:
- Medical graduates (non-specialist) who are undergoing training programmes in Haematology; i.e MPath (Hematology)
- Medical practitioners (non-specialist) who have an interest in Haematology
- Scientific officers (without MSc degrees) and Medical Laboratory Technologists who are trained in Haematology
- Non-citizens of Malaysia who fulfils criteria for ordinary/associate member is eligible to apply.
Membership fees RM 50.00 per annum
Term Member
Term Members is similar to Associate Members but prefers to pay upfront a subscription for a duration of ten years instead of annual subscription renewal.
RM 150.00 for 10 yrs.
Membership Fees Payment
Once your membership application has been reviewed and approved by the MSH Council, you will receive an email informing you of the outcome.
Please proceed with payment only after you have received confirmation that your application has been approved.
A one-time entrance/processing fee of RM21.00 applies to all successful new membership applications, in addition to the applicable membership subscription fee.
For membership categories requiring an annual subscription, including Ordinary and Associate Membership, membership is valid until 31 December of the year in which the subscription is paid, irrespective of the date of admission. The applicable annual subscription fee must subsequently be paid for each calendar year.
For example, a new Ordinary Member will pay:
First year: RM100 annual subscription + RM21 entrance/processing fee = RM121
Subsequent years: RM100 per annum applicable from 1st January
Online Payment
Payment may be made online after you have received instructions from MSH to proceed. When completing the online payment form, please use the same name, email address and telephone number provided in your MSH membership application. This will allow your payment to be correctly matched to your application.
Payment by Cheque
If paying by cheque, the cheque should be crossed “A/C Payee Only” and made payable to: Malaysian Society of Haematology
An additional RM0.50 should be included for outstation cheques.

Fees Renewal
Ordinary and Associate Members are required to pay an annual subscription. The subscription is due on 1 January of each calendar year and must be paid within three months of that date.
Term Associate Membership is valid for ten years. Renewal is due on 1 January of the eleventh year and must be paid within three months of that date.
