Welcome Message from the Organizing Chairman
Over the years, the Malaysian Society of Haematology had grown from its humble beginning and through the effort of these pioneers, the local Haematology scene had flourished. The growth is reflected by the enthusiastic participation in its Annual Scientific Meetings and with humility and pride, I would like to invite all of you to the 15th Chapter of our meetup.
I remember the first such meeting I participated in. 2004, and the venue was Marriott Putrajaya. The presentations evolved around the new treatment just being explored - imatinib and rituximab. Those were considered experimental and a departure from established practice. Today, those are the standard of care and we have even moved beyond some.
In the last five years, we were further exposed to exciting new treatment possibilities. Emergence of targeted therapy and CAR-T cell therapy to name but a couple are paving the way to more exciting options for our patients. With that in mind, with the help of Scientific Chairman Dr Ong Tee Chuan and the rest of the team, we hope that we can together "Navigate through The World of Emerging Therapies".
