MSH Membership

Those having the following criteria as stated below are eligible to apply. All applications will be subjected to approval by the Society Council.

Life Members

Citizens/Permanent Resident of Malaysia and practising in Malaysia fulfilling the criteria as stated for ordinary member is eligible to become life members after payment for life membership subscription fees.

Ordinary Members

Criteria:

  1. Physicians/Paediatricians/Pathologists practising in Malaysia who have a postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine, Paediatrics or Pathology.
  2. Medical doctors with a postgraduate qualification in medical sciences.
  3. PhD graduates with thesis in the field of Haematology.

Term Members

Term Members is similar to Associate Members but prefers to pay upfront a subscription for a duration of ten years instead of annual subscription renewal.

Associate Members

Criteria:

  1. Medical graduates (non-specialist) who are undergoing training programmes in Haematology; i.e MPath (Hematology)
  2. Medical practitioners who have an interest in Haematology
  3. Scientific officers and Medical Laboratory Technologists who are trained in Haematology
  4. Non-citizens of Malaysia who fulfils criteria for ordinary/associate member is eligible to apply.

Fees

Subscription Fees

Life member: RM 150.00 + GST
Ordinary member: RM 30.00 + GST per annum
Associate member: RM 20.00 + GST per annum
Term Associate Membership (Associate membership for 10 years): RM 100.00 + GST

All applications must be made using the Online Application form with all details completed including the referees report. Choose the appropriate membership category when you apply, preferably Life if you qualify (i.e. those with post-graduate qualifications) as per the above criteria.

  • Pay online after you have submitted your application - you must use the same Name, Email and Phone contact in the online payment form as your MSH Application.
  • If you prefer to pay by cheque, all  cheques must be crossed A/C Payee Only and made payable to the
    " Malaysian Society of Haematology ".
  • An additional RM 0.50 is to be included for outstation cheques.

Membership will be approved only after you have completed both the application submission and payment.

Step Procedure Notes
1 Apply to be a member You will be brought to a page where you will sign up for a temporary account. You will need to fill up all required information, including uploading the relevant document. You can log out to re-login to complete your registration later but not later than two weeks.
2 Membership payments Use the same name and email address as you used for the Membership application.
